JUN 2022Continuing work on Dawson River Bridge, Cundleton

from Tuesday 16 August

Transport for NSW and construction partner RMP Abrasive Blasting are continuing the final stage of work as part of the painting and maintenance project.

Due to continuing weather impacts we have experienced delays to the completion of the repainting project. Work on Dawson River Bridge is expected to be completed in December 2022.

We will be continuing work to complete steel repairs and install and wrap scaffolding between 9am and 3pm from Monday to Saturdays and expect to complete this work in mid-October, weather permitting.

Single lane closures, stop/slow traffic arrangements and a 40km/h speed limit will be in place during work hours and may affect travel times. There will be no bridge closures or detours during or outside work hours.

To minimise disruptions, and ensure the safety of workers and road users, some work may be carried out at night between 7pm and 5am from Sunday to Thursday. We expect this night work to be completed over two weeks, weather permitting.

During night work short stoppages may be required and will affect travel times. Electronic message boards will be in place to advise motorists of traffic changes.
