FISH AGGREGATING DEVICE (FAD) OUT OF POSITION
From Tuesday 9 February 2021 until further notice

The Department of Primary Industries places Fish Aggregating Devices (FADs) strategically along the NSW coast. Vessel operators are advised that the Laurieton FAD has dragged approximately 1.1NM South of its usual location and re-anchored at the below location in approximately 60m water depth, 5NM SE from the Camden Haven Inlet entrance:

THE BUOY

The FAD is a yellow buoy approximately 1.2m high above sea level anchored to the sea floor. The buoy displays a yellow flashing light with a range of 2 nautical miles (one flash every 5 seconds).

NAVIGATION WARNING

Vessel operators are advised to exercise caution when navigating in the vicinity of this area. It is an offence to secure or anchor a vessel to a FAD. Penalties apply.
