UNEXPLODED ORDNANCE
From Monday 18 January 2021 ongoing

Transport for NSW (TfNSW) advises vessel operators that the Australian Hydrographic Office has located an unidentified unexploded military ordnance device at Middleton Reef approximately 120 Nautical miles north of Lord Howe Island. This military device is located within the Lord Howe Marine Park at Middleton Reef.

An exclusion zone exists in an area bounded by the following latitude and longitude positions:

29°27.12' S  159°02.92' E
29°26.58' S  159°02.92' E
29°26.58' S  159°03.55' E
29°27.12' S  159°03.55' E

Vessel operators are advised to exercise caution when navigating in the vicinity of this area. This navigation advice remains in place until further notice.
