Request for Historical Information from NSW

Commercial vessels that were registered with NSW (RMS/ Maritime Authority / Waterways /MSB) prior to 1 July 2018 will have some of their paperwork filed in the NSW archives. Additionally, Certificates of Competencies issued by NSW before 1 July 2018 are held in the RMS archive system.

Any plans/ documents/ old certificates in the NSW archives for commercial vessels or crew, can be made available to the certificate holders following their request.

The request will have to be in the form of an application, as per the table below:

*The service of retrieving files from the NSW Archives attracts a fee. NSW Maritime will advise of any fees associated with document retrieval following receipt of your application.
