The Safer Drivers Course helps young drivers on their Ls prepare for driving solo when they graduate to provisional licences.

Becoming a course provider

Transport for NSW is authorised to accredit persons to provide the Safer Drivers Course to learner drivers and to approve persons to provide training to facilitators and coaches of the Safer Drivers Program.

To become a Safer Driver Course provider you need to apply via an E-Tender process. The current tender closed in March 2021. New applications will be accepted if a new tender is released in 2024. 

Tenders will be released through the NSW Government eTendering website.

Becoming a facilitator or coach

If you would like to become a Safer Driver Course facilitator or coach with an already approved course provider, you need to undertake training with an approved training provider:
