Have your say on night work on Broadway at Ultimo
21 December 2016
Members of the community are invited to provide feedback on a proposal to carry out night work at the intersection of Broadway and Chippendale Way.
A Roads and Maritime Services spokesperson said the NSW Government is funding essential maintenance at this location to provide a safer road surface.
“Work includes installing new drain pits, removing and replacing sections of asphalt, utility investigations and line marking,” the spokesperson said.
“To minimise the impact on motorists, work is proposed to be carried out for up to five nights a week for a four weeks.
“An alternate schedule involves working up to three nights a week for six weeks.
“For both proposals work hours would be between 8pm and 5am, excluding Saturdays and public holidays, with noisier activities such as jack hammering completed before 11pm, to minimise the impact to residents and businesses.”
Feedback on the preferred work option can be provided to project delivery partner Ventia Boral Amey Joint Venture by 5pm Monday 13 February at PO Box 838, Rockdale NSW 2216 or email nswenquiries@vbajv.com.au.
