“Stage two will see work start on the pedestrian bridge including the removal and replacement of railings and safety screens, installation of new lifts and CCTV cameras.”
Work will take up to 70 shifts to complete including 50 day shifts and 20 night shifts between Thursday 8 December and Monday 20 February, weather permitting
Work will be carried out on weekdays between 7am and 6pmand Saturdays between 7am and 1pm.
Night work will be carried out between 8pm and 5am, between Sunday and Friday.
No work will be carried out during the Christmas and New Year holidays from Thursday 22 December to Tuesday 3 January.
For the safety of workers and motorists, changed traffic conditions will be in place including lane closures and motorists are asked to follow the direction of traffic control and reduce speed limits.
