Have your say on night work at Parramatta Road Camperdown
29 NOVEMBER 2016
Roads and Maritime Services is inviting the community to have a say on a proposal to carry out night work on Parramatta Road at Camperdown.
A Roads and Maritime spokesperson said the NSW Government is funding essential maintenance work on Parramatta Road between Missenden Road and Church Street to provide a safer road for motorists.
“Parramatta Road is a strategically important and historic transport corridor connecting the Sydney CBD with Parramatta.” The spokesperson said.
“Work will involve drilling small areas in the road to inspect the condition of existing drains, removing and replacing sections of the drains and asphalt, investigating utilities, installing new drain pits and line marking.
“To minimise the impact on motorists, work is proposed to be carried out for up to five nights a week for four weeks, weather permitting.
“An alternate schedule involves working up to four nights a week for a five week period.
“For both proposals work hours would be between 8pm and 5am, with noisier activities such as jack hammering completed before 11pm, to minimise the impact on residents and businesses.”
Feedback can be provided to the project delivery partner Ventia Boral Amey Joint Venture by Friday 16 December to C&SE, PO Box 838, Rockdale NSW 2216 or email nswenquiries@vbajv.com.au
