Have your say on night work at Victoria Street, Wetherill Park

28 NOVEMBER 2016

Members of the community are invited to provide feedback on a proposal to carry out night work on Victoria Street, between O’Connell and Walter streets, at Wetherill Park.

A Roads and Maritime Services spokesperson said the NSW Government is funding essential maintenance work on Victoria Street to provide a safer road for motorists.

“Victoria Street is a main thoroughfare for heavy vehicles in the Smithfield-Wetherill Park Industrial Estate, the largest industrial estate in the southern hemisphere,” the spokesperson said.

“Work will involve removing and replacing sections of asphalt.

“To minimise the impact on motorists, work is proposed to be carried out for up to five nights a week for about two weeks.

“An alternate schedule involves, working up to two nights a week for around five weeks.

“For both proposals work hours would be between 8pm and 5am, with noisier activities such as jack hammering completed before 11pm, to minimise the impact on residents and businesses.”

Feedback can be provided to project delivery partner DownerMouchel by Friday 16 December to:
PO Box 6465
North Ryde, NSW, 2113 or
