See Sydney shine this New Year's Eve from the front row on the Cahill Expressway

15 NOVEMBER 2016

A Roads and Maritime Services spokesperson today announced the ballot is now open for Sydney residents to apply for tickets to celebrate the start of the New Year from one of Sydney’s most spectacular vantage points – the Cahill Expressway above Circular Quay.

New Year’s Eve is 47 days away and all NSW residents are invited to try to win the opportunity to see Sydney’s world renowned fireworks display from one of the best vantages in the city.

“You can enter the online draw to win one of 6000 passes to watch either the 9pm or midnight fireworks displays,” the Roads and Maritime spokesperson said.
“Roads and Maritime Services started holding the incredibly popular event in 2000 and has received thousands of entries into the ballot every year since.

“The lucky winners will get the privilege to enjoy the fun and family-friendly atmosphere with pre-fireworks entertainment and a vantage-point view to the world-famous fireworks display.”

Apply for a ticket on line now at www.rms.nsw.gov.au/NYE with entries closing at 11.59pm on Wednesday 30 November.

“Enter the ballot and have the chance to win a priceless remember of New Year’s Eve in Sydney with your family and friends,” the spokesperson said.

Winners will be announced on Wednesday 7 December and notified by email.

The Cahill Expressway is a specially designated family area and entry is by ticket only. Entries are restricted to one entry per household.
