Have your say on night work on Castlereagh Road and Springwood Road at Agnes Banks
24 OCTOBER 2016
Members of the community are invited to provide feedback on a proposal to carry out night work on Castlereagh Road and Springwood Road at Agnes Banks.
A Roads and Maritime Services spokesperson said the essential maintenance work includes the removal and replacement of asphalt to provide a stronger, longer lasting and safer road.
“Work has already been completed on Castlereagh Road between Springwood Road and Crowleys Lane but due to high traffic volumes the remaining work up to Innals Lane must be completed at night,” the spokesperson said.
“To minimise the impact on motorists, work will be carried out five nights a week for a six week period or two nights a week for a 15 week period.”
For both proposals, work hours will be from 8pm to 5am with noisier work such as saw cutting and jack hammering completed before 11pm.
Feedback can be provided by Friday 4 November to project delivery partner DownerMouchel, PO Box 6465, North Ryde, NSW, 2113 or nsw_projects@downmouchel.com.
All comments will be carefully considered and the community kept informed as work progresses.
