Have your say on proposed night work schedule for The Grand Parade
6 JULY 2016
Community members are invited to have a say on the proposed night work schedule for essential maintenance along The Grand Parade at Monterey.
A Roads and Maritime Services spokesperson said the essential maintenance work includes removing and replacing sections of asphalt, kerb and gutter between President Avenue and Scarborough Street.
“The Grand Parade is a key arterial for residents and heavy vehicles travelling to and from Sydney’s southern suburbs, carrying more than 64,000 vehicles every day,” the spokesperson said.
“Essential maintenance work is required to ensure the road remains safe and would also include line marking and utility investigations.
“To minimise the impact on motorists work would be carried out for five nights per week for two weeks or two nights per week across five weeks.
“For both proposals work hours would be from 10pm to 5am with noisier activities completed before midnight.
“Feedback can be provided by Friday 15 July to project delivery partner Ventia Boral Amey Joint venture, PO Box 838 Rockdale NSW 2216.
“The community will be kept informed as work progresses and are encouraged to learn more about other Roads and Maritime Services projects in the area by visiting www.rms.nsw.gov.au.”
