Community members are invited to have your say on the proposed night work schedule for a $35,000 project to maintain the bridge on Silverwater Road above Patterson Street at Ermington.

A Roads Maritime Services spokesperson said essential maintenance work is required to strengthen the bridge including repairing the bridge joints.

“Silverwater Road carries thousands of vehicles every day and Roads and Maritime is committed to ensuring the road remains safe.

“Night work is proposed to minimise the impact on road users and could be carried out for five nights per week for two weeks of two nights per week across a six week period.

“For both options work would be carried out between 8pm and 5am with noisier activities completed before 1am.”
