Have your say on an electronic message sign for Syd Einfeld Drive at Bondi Junction

Community members are invited to provide feedback about a proposal to install an electronic message sign on Syd Einfeld Drive at Bondi Junction.

A Roads and Maritime Services spokesperson said the sign would be installed between York and Old South Head roads to give westbound motorists real time information about traffic conditions before reaching Ocean Street.

“Electronic message signs are being installed across Sydney to keep motorists up-to-date regarding traffic conditions and incidents so they can make informed choices about their travel routes,” the spokesperson said.

“A permanent sign on Syd Einfeld Drive would allow motorists to decide whether Oxford or Ocean street is the best travel route based on real time information about traffic conditions and incidents.

“Consultation was carried out last year for the sign to be installed 50 metres east of Leswell Street and after reviewing community feedback are proposing to install the sign 80 metres east of the initial location.

“Feedback on the proposal can be submitted by Friday 27 May to 129a-139 Orchardleigh Street, Yennora NSW 2161.

“All feedback will be considered and the community will be kept informed as the project progresses.”
