Work starts on $950,000 project to improve Cabramatta Road West
10 MAY 2016
Work will start this week on a $950,000 project to improve the road surface on Cabramatta Road West at Cabramatta.
A Roads and Maritime Services spokesperson said the work would involve rebuilding the road base, laying new asphalt and line marking between Towers Street and Acacia Street.
“This work will ensure the road, which is a key connection between Cabramatta and Bonnyrigg, remains safe for all road users.
“The essential maintenance work will take 15 shifts to complete between Thursday 11 May and Monday 6 June, weather permitting.”
Work hours will be from 8pm to 5am between Sundays and Fridays to minimise the impact on road users.
There will be some noise associated with this work with noisier activities completed before 11pm.
Changed traffic conditions including reduced speed limits and lane closures may be in place for the safety of workers and motorists.
Road users should follow the direction of traffic control and allow extra travel time.
