Have your say on parking restrictions for Rutledge Street at Eastwood
27 APRIL 2016
Community members are invited to provide feedback on a proposal to restrict parking along Rutledge Street at Eastwood.
Roads and Maritime Services proposes to install No Parking restrictions on the northern side of Rutledge Street eastbound approaching Shaftsbury Road.
“Parked vehicles along this section of road are creating traffic queues for motorists travelling east towards Eastwood by blocking a through lane,” a Roads and Maritime spokesperson said.
“Community members have raised this as a congestion and safety issue and different ways have been examined to improve the intersection.
“The No Parking restrictions along 140 metres of kerbside aims to improve road safety and traffic flow through the intersection.
“All affected properties have access to off street parking and there is additional parking in side streets.”
Comments on the proposal can be sent by Friday 6 May to Roads and Maritime Services, PO Box 973 Parramatta NSW 2124.
Feedback will be carefully considered and the community will be kept informed as the project progresses.
