Have your say on No Stopping Zone extension on Bungarribee Road at Blacktown

27 APRIL 2016

Community members are invited to provide feedback on a proposal to extend a No Stopping zone on Bungarribee Road at Blacktown to improve traffic flow.

Roads and Maritime Services proposes to extend the No Stopping zone between Flushcombe Road and Blacktown Road after concerns parked vehicles block through traffic.

No Stopping zones would be installed between Blacktown Road to Lock Street and Hereward Highway to Flushcombe Road.

Restrictions would also be in place between Lock Street and Hereward Highway on weekdays from 6am to10am and from 3pm to 7pm.

Bus zones would be implemented to ensure vehicles are not parked too close to existing bus stop facilities.

It is expected these changes would improve road safety, traffic and reduce travel times during peak periods.

Feedback on the proposal can be sent by Friday 6 May to Roads and Maritime Services PO Box 973 Parramatta NSW 2124.

All comments will be considered and the community will be kept informed as the project progresses.
