CCTV camera installed on Hoxton Park Road at Cartwright

27 APRIL 2016

A new CCTV camera will be installed on Hoxton Park Road at Cartwright to help monitor and manage traffic flow.

A Roads and Maritime Services spokesperson said the camera was funded through the NSW Government’s $246 million Pinch Point program, which aims to reduce traffic delays, manage congestion and improve travel times on major road during peak periods.

“Community feedback was sought in March on the proposal to install the camera at the corner of Hoxton Park Road and Cartwright Avenue at Cartwright,” the spokesperson said.

“The project will go ahead as planned and work will be carried out in two night shifts from 8pm to 5am between Monday 9 and Friday 20 May, weather permitting.

“Changed traffic conditions will be in place during work hours for the safety of road users and workers including lane closures and reduced speed limits.

“The Pinch Point program has also delivered significant improvements at key intersections to reduce congestion including new traffic lights and turning bays.”
