Have your say on proposed work to improve traffic flow in Cabramatta

22 JANUARY 2016

Roads and Maritime Services invites the community to comment on a proposal to reduce congestion along Cumberland Highway and the intersections at Cabramatta Road and Links Avenue in Cabramatta by Monday 8 February.

A Roads and Maritime spokesperson said the proposed improvements are part of the NSW Government’s $246 million Pinch Point Program, which aims to reduce traffic delays, manage congestion and maintain travel times on Sydney’s major roads, particularly during weekday peak periods.

“The NSW Government is committed to improving traffic flow for all users of the Sydney road network,” the spokesperson said.

“Work at the intersections includes extending traffic lanes and turn bays, improving traffic light phasing and median work to increase visibility and safety.”

Stakeholders and community members are invited to comment on the proposed intersection improvements by Monday 8 February through email, enquiries_nsw@downermouchel.com, or by mail to DownerMouchel, Cabramatta Intersection Improvements, PO Box 6465, North Ryde NSW 2113.

Roads and Maritime will carefully consider all feedback and will continue to keep the community updated as the proposal progresses.
