Have your say on proposed work at Rooty Hill Road North intersection in Plumpton

21 JANUARY 2016

Roads and Maritime Services invites the community to comment on proposed work to improve the intersection of Rooty Hill Road North, Jersey Road and Lamb Street at Plumpton.

A Roads and Maritime spokesperson said the proposed improvements are part of the NSW Government’s $246 million Pinch Point Program, which aims to reduce traffic delays, manage congestion and maintain travel times on Sydney’s major roads, particularly during weekday peak periods.

“The NSW Government is committed to improving traffic flow and the road network,” the spokesperson said.

“The proposal is part of planned corridor improvements on Rooty Hill Road between the Great Western Highway, Eastern Creek and Richmond Road, Oakhurst.

“Work at the intersection includes removing the existing roundabout and installing traffic lights with pedestrian crossings, providing dedicated turning lanes, widening Rooty Hill Road North near the intersection and installing CCTV cameras to monitor traffic.”

Stakeholders and community members are invited to comment on the proposed intersection improvements by Friday 12 February through email, enquiries_nsw@downermouchel.com, or by mail to DownerMouchel, Rooty Hill Road North intersection improvements, PO Box 6465, North Ryde NSW 2113.

Roads and Maritime will carefully consider all feedback and will continue to keep the community updated as the proposal progresses.
