Centenary of Anzac commemorations

Remembrance Driveway

The Remembrance Driveway commemorates those who served in the Australian Defence Forces in the Second World War and all subsequent wars. It covers 320km along the Hume and Federal Highways between Sydney and Canberra, via Liverpool, Mittagong and Goulburn.

The Driveway provides rest areas dedicated to Victoria Cross recipients, as well as parks and plantations to provide a living memorial to service men and women.

Sydney Harbour Bridge pylons lit up to honour fallen ANZACs

To honour the fallen ANZACS for the centenary of the Gallipoli landing, Roads and Maritime Services showcased a series of poignant images from World War I on to the eastern face of the north and south pylons of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

Selected from the archives of the Australian War Memorial and the State Library of NSW, the images help tell the Anzac story, and were projected between 21 and 27 April 2015.

You can view the images and read the stories behind them, or watch this slideshow of photos taken of the bridge as the images were projected.
