Motor vehicle & vessel accidents
Information may be available to solicitors acting on accident claims in order to commence, maintain or defend proceedings by using the application forms on this page. Information may also be obtained by serving a subpoena or preliminary discover order under Part 5.2 of the Uniform Civil Procedure Rules 2005 on Transport for NSW.
Vessel accidents
Lawyers acting in respect of accident claims can also request the details of a particular vessel, Master or licence holder by completing a Form 1757 Request for Information by Solicitor – Vessel Accidents
Motor vehicle accidents
Lawyers acting in respect of vehicle accident claims can request vehicle and driver information in two ways:
- Lodging a Form 1046 Request for Information by Solicitor – Motor Vehicle Claims; or
- Seek access to use the Solicitor Online Information Request Portal and thereafter obtaining the information directly.
The Solicitor Online Information Request Portal is subject to regular auditing and reporting obligations and is only recommended for lawyers with high volume requests. Community Law Centres may not use the Portal.
